1961 C maple neck & slab Rosewood fingerboard

The neck construction of the Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster LH RW Olympic White reflects the slab design introduced in the late 1950s, where the slim C-profile maple neck is made without skunk stripe and finished with a flat rosewood fingerboard. Here, the traditional 7.25-inch fretboard radius provides an authentic feel on all 21 frets in the vintage-tall format, while genuine clay Dot fretboard inlays provide the original look of the Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster.

Fender Pure Vintage '61 Single Coils

Staying true to the era's sonic specifications, three custom-wound Fender Pure Vintage '61 single coils provide the Stratocaster's multi-faceted tonal palette. Thus, the three single-coil pickups wound to traditional specifications provide everything from clear and direct bridge tones to warm, vocal sounds in the neck position, while the Blade Switch's intermediate 2 and 4 positions create shimmering pickup combinations. Of course, the wiring also remains classic and is composed of a common Volume knob and separate Tone knobs for the neck and midrange pickups.

Authentic Pure Vintage Parts

Also part of the historically oriented Fender Pure Vintage line-up are the hardware parts of the Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster. Accordingly, the six-bolt Pure Vintage Synchronized Tremolo follows the famous successful design of the fifties, while the six "Fender Deluxe" tun ers correspond to the design of original tuners from the sixties. Finishing off the Fender American Vintage II 1961 Stratocaster LH RW Olympic White is a three-ply pickguard and a tasteful nitrocellulose finish.
