Based on the usual nimble Soundgear design, Ibanez's SR605E features an ash body that sits comfortably against the player thanks to optimally placed shaping. The bolt-on Jatoba walnut neck offers comfortable playing characteristics with the highly maneuverable SR5 profile, so any playing technique comes off the rosewood fingerboard with ease.

The pickup of the Ibanez Standard SR605E is provided by the American noble manufacturer Nordstrand. With the powerful Nordstrand Big Break pickups the Bass delivers a full tone at the bass amplifier, which reproduces the low B-string precisely and converts every playing detail with the right portion of clarity and aggressiveness. For precise tone adjustment, an active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control with three selectable center frequencies for the mid control is also on board.
