The A Four I200 integrated amplifier from the Absolute line inherits technology developed by Orpheus Lab for the Opus II, part of the prestigious Heritage line. It features a current amplification stage driven by six high-power MOSFETs—meticulously hand-selected for each channel—capable of delivering instantaneous current peaks of up to fifteen amperes. To ensure optimal control throughout the amplification chain, each MOSFET is managed by a control stage utilizing bipolar technology. This approach, combined with a multi-point feedback topology, allows for precise feedback application, achieving a perfect balance between musicality and technical performance. Consequently, the A Four I200 is perfectly suited to drive any type of loudspeaker. The Class AB architecture comes to life thanks to a carefully calibrated 125 mA bias current, which delivers 15 W of idle thermal power per channel, allowing the amplifier to stabilize at 15°C above ambient temperature when at rest.

To ensure flawless power delivery, each amplification channel is powered by an oversized toroidal transformer with an 880 VA capacity.

The bias circuit ensures optimal biasing regardless of the operating temperature. Furthermore, its architecture—featuring low-impedance BJT components—maintains constant bias irrespective of the load type, even during peak current demands.

The A Four I200’s integrated preamplifier features six analog inputs, each with a level selector (High, Medium, or Low). This flexibility ensures optimal matching with the wide variety of sources available on the market. Volume control is handled by the renowned PGA2320 integrated circuit, implemented with meticulous optimization to fully unleash musical expressiveness.
