Farfisa OS 42 SR – Vintage Reverb and Sferasound Effects Unit – Serviced – Original Foot Pedal

Rare and highly characterful Farfisa OS 42 SR, an original Italian vintage preamp/effects unit from the late 1960s.

The OS 42 SR is a very unusual piece of Farfisa history and is much more than just a preamp. It combines Farfisa's distinctive preamplifier circuitry with a built-in spring reverb and the legendary Sferasound effect, giving you a unique vintage modulation sound that is difficult to reproduce with modern equipment.

Service

The unit was serviced approximately two years ago.

During the service:

• All electrolytic capacitors were replaced
• The original mains connection was replaced with a new IEC/Kettle-style mains socket

This means some of the most important aging components have already been addressed, making this a much more interesting proposition than an untouched example.

Condition

The unit is in vintage condition and naturally shows signs of age and previous use. Please study the photos carefully for the cosmetic condition.
