This is a Slate VMS One Mic Pre and Active DI box. If you have a slate ML-1 mic, this gives them the preferred signal to help the emulations work their best. If you don’t have the slate mics, this is still and awesome very clean and high quality sounding mic pre and DI box. I mostly have been using it as a DI box and I don’t think people realize how good guitars and basses sound with this before an amp simulator. If you use amp sims but haven’t been happy with how they sound; this type of mic pre will almost certainly fix that. You'll get a much cleaner and professional sounding signal every time. You’ll can also drive an amp with the gain knob a little more (especially with the pad turned on) and it just feels so good. Highly recommend and very sad I’m selling!
