Serviced by Mike Harris in 2022 — the last true professional with a lifelong career specialising in these units. Mike retired shortly after working on this one, making it one of the final machines to benefit from his expertise. As a result, it runs exceptionally smoothly and is likely to do so for many years to come.
I originally purchased the unit from someone who had received it as a gift from a friend — a service technician at the Danish Radio Corporation. This means the machine has had regular servicing throughout its life, resulting in an unusually solid and reliable unit.
Notably, it features the rarer 2.75mm record and playback heads, which offer a slightly improved noise floor. The onboard preamps are also very nice — clean, warm, and highly usable.
