Produced alongside the Classic Player line, Fender's Classic Series released authentic vintage-spec takes on many of the same instruments in the Classic Player series. These vintage features included rounder fretboards, chunkier neck profiles, and vintage voiced pickups.

After the Classic Player series wrapped up in 2018, it was replaced by Fender's Vintera line, which provides entry-level vintage spec, and more modern "Modified" interpretations of classic Fender models.
