It is thanks to Pete Townshend that this Schecter Tele with humbucker pickups has enjoyed such enduring popularity. In 1984, the U.S. manufacturer began mass-producing this unofficial signature model.
With this attractive 2019 version, however, the traditional manufacturer takes a huge step further in the direction of “hard ‘n’ heavy” than the legendary “The Who” guitarist ever intended. In any case, the abbreviation “PT” still stands for this successful collaboration.
