A vintage Rickenbacker 360/12 in the stunning (and rare) Ruby Red finish!

Serial number on the stereo jack plate: "YI" means that this beauty was made in September of 1985

The Rickenbacker 360-12 was introduced as 12-string version of the 360 in 1964 & broke all the rules of traditional styling when it appeared amid the British Invasion of "The Beatles" in the 1960's.

Subtly updated through the years, this Deluxe hollow body is the OG deal with its special contour around the entire body perimeter, perhaps the most comfortable guitar of all.

This specific 360/12 is a true "Player Grade" due to changes made by the previous owner (who as you can see was a fan of Oasis during the Supersonic days thank to the sticker on the back)

• Parts of the hardware (pickup covers, tailpiece, ...) have been painted with white and red paint! The result is a truely unique Rickenbacker that pops on stage in combination with the red finish and black binding! 
  
• The guitar has been strung/converted as a 6-string for ease of play (but as you can see it can be easily reverted to 12-string ... just pop in 6 extra tuners, grab a 12 string set and pop them in the 12 string tailpiece, bridge and nut that are still present)
  

The three-piece Maple/Walnut neck feels great and has the classic Rickenbacker feel. It has a bound Bubinga Rosewood fretboard with 24 frets, triangle inlays, a 24 ¾” scale length.

It has the original 2 hi-gain pickups, “Rick-o-sound” & mono output jacks, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, blend knob, 3-way switch and very resonant semi hollow maple body!

Obviously this almost 40 years old Rickenbacker has a few dings & scratches, lacquer cracking (like around the neck pocket, no neck break) to prove it's age. (as pictured)

The hardware and pickup covers have aged perfectly and show the right amount of patina you would expect for a guitar of this age!

Included with the purchase is the original Rickenbacker hardcase, finished in Black tolex exterior and an eye catching blue plush interior. The case shows some ageing (as pictured)
