About this listing
Up for sale here is: Roland Juno 6. It's fully functional, sounds amazing, and is in nice shape for its 4 decades of age, but see my notes below on its condition. I am considering reasonable offers. Please see the photos carefully for further information. Notes:there are scuffs/marks/scratches in various places, sometimes hard to see in photos. A few marks have some oxidation going on, and this is fairly common for synths of its age (at least on Junos and other metal ones I've had). The fake wood ends are a little chipped up. The right-rear side screw is dented and tough to move, so I keep it slightly unscrewed. Many of the sliders are slightly bent or a tiny bit wonky in their travel. They all function OK and slide easily enough. 3 sliders do not go fully up, they go about 95% up. These are: the pitch bender's DCO, and the filter's ENV and KYBD. They can be a little bumpy when sliding, but still work OK. I have owned a Juno 60 before, and played a couple of these Juno synths, and it's common for the sliders to become a little bent with age. The Juno sliders are metal in construction and it feels like the inner metal rails are a bit bent on these 3. It is possible for a technician to replace them, but I have not felt the need. Two keys have chips on their front-underneath rims. See photo.the headphone jack (not the instrument output signal) has a high pitch noise in the background. This is drowned out by the synth signal but can be heard when the synth is quiet and volume knob is pumped up. In my experience, this headphone noisiness is fairly common on aging synths. I cannot hear it in the two main outputs, so if it does exist at all, it's at a much lesser volume.the chorus sounds great but is a bit "noisy," as is typical and normal of 80's synth chorus chips.the Juno 6 does NOT have MIDI or Patch Memory. The Juno is easy enough to program but for MIDI capability, there are several third-party companies that sell kits to be installed.I am only shipping this within the continental US, signature required. I'm selling this "As-is." No returns. Please do your research online (Youtube, etc.) and make sure this is an item you really want before purchasing or making an offer.
