This lovely Electric XII is one of the last guitars designed by Leo for Fender, post CBS acquisition, but prior to his departure from the company. The specially voiced pickups in tandem with individually adjustable bridge saddles made this a favorite amongst musicians of the era. Used extensively by Pete Townshend on the Tommy album & famously on the studio recording of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. A dynamite player with an ultra cool vintage vibe & a smooth, comfortable feel. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.

Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The neck plate shows quite a bit of wear & scratching. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. "Hockey stick" headstock with Fender F-logo tuners. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly. Neck stamp reads12 APR 66 B. The truss rod is maxed out but there's still some relief in the neck & the guitar is very playable.

Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in 3-tone sunburst. String-thru bridge with twelve adjustable mini "barrel" saddles. 4-ply tortoise pickguard. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 7.4 oz.

Electronics: Grey bottom split single coils with 4-way selector switch. Pots date to '66 & all electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
