The Empress Effects Multidrive — a genuinely unique three-in-one drive pedal from the well-respected Canadian builder Empress Effects, designed around the studio trick of blending multiple amps together.

Three Drive Types, Blended in Parallel
The Multidrive allows you to blend Overdrive, Distortion, and Fuzz together, creating a full and rich array of tones that wouldn't be available otherwise — letting the sustain of fuzz, the bite of distortion, and the clarity and note definition of overdrive all work together. It's like having an overdrive pedal, a fuzz pedal, and a distortion pedal, all in one box.

All-Analog Signal Path
An innovative analog signal path harnesses the best characteristics of germanium diodes, class-A BJT amplifiers, FET distortion, and soft LED clipping curves to deliver amp-like tones. The Overdrive section has the smooth germanium break-up and compression characteristics of a tube amp, while the three-mode Distortion section goes from controlled to sizzling while retaining a super tight low end, naturally compressing at high gains like a hi-gain amp.

Full Tonal Control
You get independent control over the amount of fuzz, distortion, and overdrive added in parallel, with each section able to have a high-pass or low-pass filter engaged. A comprehensive EQ rounds things out with smooth high and low shelving combined with a powerful, frequency-selectable mid band bell.
