The Roland JP-8080, released in Japan in 1998, is a rackmount 8-voice polyphonic analog modeling synthesizer based on the critically-acclaimed JP-8000. In most regards, the JP-8080 and JP-8000 are almost identical. Both synthesizers feature many ultra-fat analog-style sounds that mimic the classic tones which defined a generation of music in the 1980s and continue to leave their mark in the modern era. The JP-8000 has been used by The Crystal Method, Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Paul Van Dyk, and more. It’s full of enticing features that will be familiar to analog and digital synth fans, such as arpeggiation, oscillator sync, ring modulation, -12/-24 dB filtering, cross modulation, chorus, LFO modulation, MIDI connectivity, and more. The JP-8080 version has some notable upgrades compared to the original JP-8000, such as a vocoder, a highly expanded patch library, and an additional noise waveform. This synthesizer is in Good condition, with some scratches and scuffs (please see photos). **There are scratches on the display surface. This unit has been tested by our professional technician and is working perfectly. All buttons and lights are working perfectly.
