The Roland RD-2000EX is Roland's flagship 88-key stage piano, featuring dual independent sound engines and the premium PHA-50 hybrid keyboard with wood and plastic construction, escapement, and Ebony/Ivory Feel. It pairs V-Piano modeling technology (with full keyboard polyphony) alongside a separate SuperNATURAL engine with 128-voice polyphony, giving performers access to over 1,100 tones that span concert grands, vintage electrics, tonewheel organs, and beyond.

V-Piano Sound Engine

The V-Piano engine uses behavior modeling rather than samples, generating acoustic piano sound through a virtual system of strings, hammers, and soundboard. This provides unlimited polyphony, natural note-to-note interaction, and Piano Designer tools for tuning individual notes and adjusting sympathetic resonance.

SuperNATURAL & Performance Controls

Two pre-installed V-Piano expansions (German Concert and Essential Upright) are included. The SuperNATURAL engine delivers classic Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and Clavinet tones with vintage effects modeled after the BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble. Eight assignable zones, 100 scene memories, nine sliders, and knobs with LED ring indicators give you extensive real-time control. A built-in 24-bit/192kHz USB audio/MIDI interface makes the RD-2000EX a professional recording front-end.
