The Korg Volca Drum is a digital percussion synthesizer that generates drum and percussion sounds from synthesis rather than samples. Six parts, each with two oscillators and a pitch modulator, create sounds ranging from acoustic drum emulations to experimental noise and metallic textures. A waveguide resonator effect adds tonal character and physical modeling resonance to the output.

Sound Design

Each of the six parts has two oscillators with selectable waveform types and a pitch modulator for FM-style timbral shaping. The waveguide resonator processes the combined output through tube, string, or panel resonance models, adding body and character. 16 kits store complete configurations for all six parts plus resonator settings.
