The Korg Volca Beats is a compact analog rhythm machine with six analog drum sounds (kick, snare, hi tom, lo tom, closed hi-hat, open hi-hat) and four PCM sounds (clap, claves, agogo, crash). Its 16-step sequencer and touch panel let you build beats quickly, and Sync In/Out connects it to other Volca units for synchronized jam sessions.

Sound Engine

Six analog voices with dedicated controls: the kick has click, pitch, and decay parameters; snare has snappy, pitch, and decay; toms share pitch and decay controls; hi-hats have closed/open decay and a grain parameter. Four additional PCM sounds (clap, claves, agogo, crash) with PCM speed control add variety beyond the analog voices.

Sequencer

A 16-step sequencer handles 10 parts simultaneously, with 8 pattern memories. The Stutter function repeats and gates sounds in real time for fills and variations. Active Step and Step Jump functions let you skip steps for polyrhythmic patterns.
