This is a fantastic guitar that I hate to have to part with, but life demands it at the moment!

This is a 2008 Rootbeer Les Paul Premium Plus that I went to great lengths to get my hands on back in the day. This particular example has a (pretty rare) Quilt Top, as opposed to the usual flame tops with which these guitars generally come equipped.

The pickups are the stock 490R/498T Gibson Humbuckers.

The neck is perfect. Rosewood, as you would expect. This guitar has only seen light home and studio use and has never been on the road. That said, I have had a fantastic tech do a few things to it that make this guitar very special.

Firstly, as many know, some of these guitars came with the dreaded "circuit board" electronics. An earlier one I had did not have this, but this one did. I was NOT having that and had a tech rip out the PCB and the attached pots and I purchased all of the proper pots that one would expect in a top shelf Les Paul (they aren't CTS or anything, but they are all Gibson factory pots).

Now, the real bonus here are the tone capacitors. I sourced REAL VINTAGE Bumblebee caps for this wiring harness and had my tech install and shield everything perfectly. As the photos show, I also had him do a full swimming pool shielding, complete with the underside of the cover. These caps are basically impossible to find these days. And yes... they work!

Discerning eyes will also notice that the truss rod cover is black. I had a custom one made for the headstock because I thought it looked slick. The original cover is, obviously, included and will be in the case. I also had a guy experiment and make me some toggle switch rings out of quilted Koa, I didn't ever put them on, but I will include these in the sale in case you want to play around with the vibe.

There are a couple of laquer nicks, but aside from that the guitar is in incredible shape for being a 2008.
