This 1971 Marshall Super Lead 100 is in excellent vintage cosmetic condition, showing only slight wear on the tolex in areas. The white plastic badge on the rear panel is missing, and the aluminum panel has had a ventilation hole cut out of it. This is an extremely clean example of a Super Lead from this era. I don't believe the orange jewel light is original, but it was there when I aquired the beast 25 years ago. Not sure about the ceramic disc bright cap on V1 although it might be original. I have replaced the 2 prong power cable to a 3 prong grounded cable for obvious safety reasons. This head is super tidy on the inside. The filter capacitors and bias capacitors show no signs of impending failure. No visual signs of buldging or leakage. There is a slight hum, but not excessive, and not any louder than the first time I plugged it in. It does not run any hotter than normal. I have found no reason to change any parts. This would be a judgment call for the next owner. This Super Lead will wake the dead, I've seen it happen!! It delivers the quintessential mid range aggression, and an array of killer classic tones that have defined entire styles and eras. Although I am sad to see this gem go, I am not currently giving it it's due. This monster deserves to be heard. You just can't beat a 100 watt Super Lead, and this baby is glorious.
