The instrument is clamped into the snare-drum stand upper part by means of the central tensioning and inclined through a gear rim joint. The extension arms of the snare drum stand upper part are especially arranged in a way to make sure that the snare unit is exactly at a right angle to the player, whose arms thus do not touch the release mechanism.
