Genelec 4020C 2-Way Active Installation Speaker (Black)

Overview

The Genelec 4020C is a compact 2-way active loudspeaker for commercial installations where space is tight. A 4 in cone woofer and a 3/4 in metal dome tweeter, both magnetically shielded, each have their own 50 W Class D amplifier. The amplifiers, active crossover and driver protection sit inside the die-cast aluminium enclosure, so no external power amplifier is needed. Rear-panel switches adjust the bass and treble to suit the room and the mounting position.

• Level control: A rear-panel control with 40 dB of continuous range matches the speaker to the source.
• Daisy-chaining: The balanced 3-pin Euroblock plug takes a second cable that carries the signal on to the next speaker.
• ISS Autostart: The speaker drops to standby, typically under 0.5 W, some time after playback ends and wakes when signal returns. A rear switch turns the function off.
• Mounting options: A 3/8 in UNC thread on the base fits a standard microphone stand, and two M6x10 mm rear threads take Omnimount size 20.5 brackets or the included keyhole wall mount.
• Finishes: Black, white or RAW, which is unpainted recycled aluminium with a slightly different look on every enclosure.
