Genelec 4010A 2-Way Active Installation Speaker (RAW)

Overview

The Genelec 4010A is a compact 2-way active loudspeaker for fixed indoor installations. Its 3 in cone woofer and 3/4 in metal dome tweeter each run from their own 25 W Class D amplifier. The amplifiers, active crossover and driver protection are built into the die-cast aluminium enclosure, so no external power amplifier is needed. Rear-panel switches adjust the bass and treble to suit the room and the mounting position.

• Room response controls: Treble Tilt and Bass Tilt switches, with Bass Tilt cutting the bass by 2, 4 or 6 dB for placement near a wall or in a corner.
• Sensitivity switch: Input sensitivity can be set to normal or -10 dB.
• ISS Autostart: The speaker drops to standby, typically under 0.5 W, after about an hour without signal and wakes when signal returns. A rear switch disables it.
• Balanced input: Audio connects through a 3-pin Euroblock plug.
• Mounting options: A 3/8 in UNC thread on the base fits a standard microphone stand, three pairs of rear threaded holes accept Omnimount, VESA and Sanus brackets, and the included wall bracket hangs the speaker at two angles.
• Finishes: Black, white or RAW, which is unpainted recycled aluminium with a slightly different look on every enclosure.
