Blackstar Beam Mini Desktop Guitar Amplifier

The Blackstar Beam Mini is a battery-powered desktop amp for electric, bass and acoustic guitar. Blackstar models its amps and pedals component by component, and the Beam Mini also runs NAM (Neural Amp Modeler) models, loaded straight from the Beam app with no computer. Two 12 W channels drive a pair of 60 mm drivers and two bass radiators in Super Wide Stereo, the battery lasts about 18 hours, and the body carries an IP66 rating against dust and water.

Hands-On Control and the Beam App

The SpeedDial and Light Beam display set patch, gain, EQ, effects and volume from the top panel, and XpressFX changes the depth of every active effect with one turn. Five patches live on the amp. The free Beam app for iOS and Android opens up the full set of amps, cabinets, mics and pedals, plus Artist patches, backing tracks, video lessons and a community for sharing tones. Cabinets use Blackstar's CabRig IR simulation with In The Room technology, which recreates the sound of standing next to an amp.

Record, Stream and Jam

Over USB-C the Beam Mini works as an audio interface at 44.1 or 48 kHz, sending processed stereo guitar, a clean guitar DI and a headset mic DI to a computer or mobile device. A TRRS headset in the 3.5 mm jack adds a mic with its own preamp and reverb, and USB loopback mode mixes playback into the stream for livestreaming. Bluetooth streams songs to jam along with, and the same 3.5 mm jack feeds headphones, speakers or a mixer.
