The Blackstar Sonnet 60 is a compact 60-watt acoustic combo for singer-songwriters and acoustic players who want a light amp for small gigs, rehearsals and home recording. Channel 1 takes an acoustic guitar through a high-impedance 1/4" input suited to piezo pickups, and channel 2 takes a microphone or a second instrument through a combination XLR and 1/4" input. Each channel has its own EQ and reverb level, and a 6.5-inch speaker with a tweeter in a ported cabinet covers the full range of the guitar and voice. This Blonde version is finished in cream with a copper-colored grille and matching control panel.

Tone Controls

Channel 1 has gain, a Shape switch, three-band EQ, reverb level and a phase switch that helps control feedback. Channel 2 has gain, Shape, low and high EQ and its own reverb level. Hall and Plate reverbs share a reverb time control, and the high-pass filter and Brilliance control adjust body resonance and piezo brightness for the whole amp.

Connections

The balanced XLR D.I. output sends the full mix to a PA or recorder, with a ground lift for hum. USB audio records straight into a computer with no extra drivers, Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm line input play backing tracks, and the footswitch jack takes the FS-17 (sold separately) to mute the amp or switch the reverb off. The screw-out tilt-back stand aims the speaker at you as a monitor, and the optional SA-2 adaptor mounts the amp on a 35 mm speaker stand.
