Dynaudio Core Sub Compact Active Studio Subwoofer (Dark Grey)

The Dynaudio Core Sub Compact is half the size of the Core Sub, made for studios and immersive rooms where floor and wall space is short. Two 9-inch MSP+ Hybrid Drive woofers in a sealed cabinet each have their own 280 W Pascal Class D amplifier, and the response stays within 3 dB from 16 Hz to 200 Hz. It uses the same amplifier module and DSP as the rest of the Core family, so it matches the Core monitors in any system from 2.1 to 9.1.6.

Opposed Drivers

The two woofers work in an opposed layout, which keeps cabinet vibration down even at maximum level. Each Hybrid Drive has a stiff aluminum core with paper damping on the rear and a Magnesium Silicate Polymer cap on the front to stop ringing, driven by a ferrite magnet system.

Setup and Placement

The Bandwidth switch engages an 80 Hz low-pass filter to match a Core monitor set to its 80 Hz high-pass, and the level switch offers 79, 85, 91 and 94 dB settings for calibrated rooms. The Core Sub Compact fits under or behind a desk, sits under a Core speaker using the indentations on top, or goes on a wall with a standard VESA bracket. Several can run in one room for more even bass.
