Very Good condition, 7/10, Made in USA, including later 2-latch Protector case.

This guitar has been converted from the original mini humbuckers (one is included in the case) to 2pc P100 (stacked P-90 pickups so humbuckers) and the cavities have been slightly enlarged to accomodate the new pickups.

The original pickguard has also been altered and is now in the case so it currently has a repro pickguard on.

Only slight fretwear, 3-piece mahogany neck (in late 1974 Gibson started using maple for the necks) and sandwich mahogany body, some belt buckle wear on the back, there are 4 plugged small holes from a removed DiMarzio humbucker ring around the bridge pickup (not included).

The electronics is original to the guitar and is dated 1377401 (so 1st week of 1974), and the full story about the previous owner and his band Tobells is included in the case with tons of news clips and even a written biography, we love it when the case candy gives the entire history of the instrument! In this case the owner first had a 1972 Les Paul which was replaced after an accident by the insurance company and he bought a 1974 model (receipts from the music store are dated 1976) which then went through phases and mods until his passing in 2005. It is obvious that the guitar has been loved and we are honored to be able to present this to you and pass it on to future guitar players!
