Modern Vintage Guitars MVS-64 '60s Strat-Style Guitar - Indian Rosewood, Piano Black

Designed by luthier Rob Elrick, MVS-64 has a solid Alder body, the wood of '60s guitars, and passive custom wound Alnico-V single coil pickups for vintage tone with punch and clarity. The vintage style bridge produces the note attack and decay of the original classic bridge.

This '60s Strat-style guitar is inspired by the classic '60s designs. It's for the player who wants the sound, look and feel of a vintage guitar but with added improvements and updates.

Roasted Maple For Superior Neck Stability

Roasted Maple is Maple that has been kiln treated at high temperatures to remove moisture, sugars and other wood impurities. The result of this process is a superior, improved and stabilized neck with increased note sustain, resonance, and no dead spots.

Authentic Indian Rosewood ‘Slab’ Fingerboard

The MVS-64 guitar has an authentic Indian Rosewood ‘Slab’ fingerboard. This is a genuine Dalbergia (Rosewood) not Pau Ferro, Morado, Bolivian or other substitute. The ‘slab’ fingerboard is highly desired by vintage collectors as the wood content is more stable and resonant than the ‘mid-60s veneer board construction.

Overall, the combination of the Alder body, roasted Maple neck, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, custom vintage style pickups, and the steel bridge, makes the MVS-64 '60s Tele-style guitar sound best.
