Light to dark reddish varnish typical of the makers firm. No Cracks former repairs to speak of sold as is with no returns, highly sought after period.
AUBERT Á MEIRCOURT FRANCE with parchment 'e' and Hill 'e' black fine tuner suitable for loop or ball end 'e'.
Tone is indicative of classic early 20th century workmanship.
The top has no cracks or ope seams delicate inlaid purffing on back and sides, no chipped or damaged corners.
Lighter reddish indicates higher grade or custom work. Original pegs no re-bushings. Ebony fingerboard; pegs, tailpiece, end button and Guarneri Hill Style Chin Rest.
Tone is warm and dark indicative of the Saxony style.
Back; is a two piece slab of quarter cut maple, of very high figure.
Matching sides neck and very amazingly cut scroll. Neck is original and of equally beautiful timbers.
