For sale is a 1999 Martin 000-28EC in good condition. This is the popular Eric Clapton signature model from Martin’s Vintage Series – a player’s dream guitar that combines vintage tone and appointments with modern playability.

Body: 000-14 fret (Auditorium/Grand Auditorium style) with solid Sitka spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back & sides

Neck: Modified V-profile, 1-3/4" nut width, select hardwood with ebony fingerboard

Inlays: Eric Clapton signature inlaid at the 19th/20th fret, pearl diamond & square “long pattern” inlays, herringbone top inlay and rosette

Bridge: Ebony belly bridge with drop-in saddle

Tuners: Gotoh nickel open-gear with butterbean knobs

Finish: Natural with gloss and aging toner on the top

Bracing: Scalloped X-bracing for that classic Martin warmth and balance

Condition: Good. It shows light playing wear consistent with its age (minor scratches, dings, and natural checking on the finish as expected on a 25+ year old guitar). It has a pair of typical cracks on the treble side of the top that appear to have beel glued at some point, and some of the binding is doing what Martin binding does (comes loose), but other than that there is no major damage. The neck is straight, and it has been well-maintained. The frets have plenty of life left. Recently checked and set up for optimal playability.
