For sale is a rare vintage Collins 212Y tube microphone ribbon preamp with original bag. This unit was fully serviced by our tech as needed and is fully functional. Servicing included a recapped, pot replacement, and fine tuning for better frequency response as well as input strapping was converted to 600 ohm. Tubes were checked and tested good, in/out cabling added and power cable was converted to 3 prong. It's ready to go! Excellent sounding unit. These hardly ever show up for sale, last one we could find that sold was over 4 years ago for $2000 and it didn't look as nice as this or serviced (and most gear within the past few years has increased in price). According to the manual this unit provides up to 85db of gain! Fantastic choice for mics needing high gain like ribbon mics.
