The Eric Clapton Stratocaster remains one of Fender’s most enduring and successful artist collaborations, a model that bridges the gap between vintage tone and modern reliability. First introduced in 1988, it was developed with direct input from Clapton himself to capture his signature tone and feel - the subtle compression, rich sustain, and smooth midrange that defined his late ’80s and ’90s sound.

This 2010 USA-built example showcases everything that’s made the model a modern classic. It features Fender’s active mid-boost circuit (up to 25dB) and TBX tone control, allowing a seamless transition from sparkling Strat clarity to thick, humbucker-like depth. The soft “V” maple neck provides that unmistakable Clapton comfort, while the Vintage Noiseless pickups deliver the trademark shimmer without the hum. The tremolo is factory-blocked, as per Clapton’s personal preference, offering exceptional tuning stability and sustain.

Finished in Torino Red, this guitar presents beautifully with only the lightest signs of use. The fretwork and setup are excellent, offering the effortless playability that defines Fender’s high-end American production. This example comes complete with its original Fender tweed hard case, hang tags, and all original case candy - a very complete, well-preserved example of one of Fender’s most versatile and respected signature models.
