For sale is an AKG D707E in great functional shape with newly replaced foam inside the grille! This mic sounds fantastic, just like the other two I will have for sale, which tells me it is working as intended. The capsule inside the D707 is the same capsule you find in the D1000E and D190E, except the one in here is shock mounted, likely due to it being made for stage. That being said, the capsules in the D1000 & D190 are quite prone to their capsules not sounding right after being dropped or mishandled, and I'm happy to say this mic is sounding very nice!

Cosmetically, the grille is in great shape and the label was removed to make accessing the screws for foam replacements easy in the future. Simply unscrew the two screws and lift the grille gently up, that's it. The model D707 is written using a paint marker just for reference in case anyone did not want to forget what mic they have. If you are wondering what the E in D707E means, it simply refers to the mic having an XLR connector, which is ideal nowadays.

This would be a great pickup over the D1000 or D190 for a slightly more natural tone due to the open grille design. You can view this mic similarly to the SM57 as a utility mic with a bit more of a personality!
