Knob controls the low pass filter cutoff point, clockwise opens the filter and counterclockwise closes it. Because this is passive, fully closing the filter will cut high frequencies and drop volume slightly. When filter is fully open, it lets audio pass through freely. Keep in mind this filter is passive an has no resonance, it is designed to be used more as an EQ tool than an effect.
