Rare and seldom-seen Brownface Vibrolux from 1963. This amp has the pinnacle brownface sound. Think of this as a Brown Deluxe on 6L6’s. It sits at a great form factor for the volume it pushes out— right around 35 watts.

Known as the Knopfler ‘Sultans of Swing’ amp, yes it does beautiful raw and detailed cleans, but the edge of breakup and full-on cranked sounds are glorious.

This is a great example, all original where it truly counts and one I’ve owned for years— it was my amp tech’s personal Vibrolux, he had two and sold both— this was the more original example.

All original transformers, no monkey business. The only non-original parts this amp has to explain for itself are a replaced leather handle, replaced grill cloth (hand aged to look the part of an old wheat grill), and a non-original but truly killer Celestion Alnico Gold Speaker.

This amp functions perfectly and has a great raw woody tone when cranked. The reproduction brown footswitch is very nicely done and made by Sheenan Enterprises, he’s the leader in vintage reproduction parts.

Serviced and ready to roll, quiet running healthy sounding Vibrolux. You are getting this amp from a Fender collector who knows how these old amps should sound, not merely a dealer trying to move it on for top dollar. I’m sure this is one of, if not the best sounding 6G11 on the market.
