Bach Stradivarius Early Elkhart model 37 Bb trumpet 1966

This is an early Elkhart Bach Stradivarius  Bb trumpet in very good original cosmetic and playing condition.   It has the standard configuration for this model with a 37 bell and 25 leadpipe with a medium-large bore.

It has the features of the legendary early Elkhart Bachs – A side-seam one-piece Corporation bell,  two-piece valve casings and brass valve guides. 

This trumpet had some red rot in the leadpipe, so we sent it to Charlie Melk to have an original Bach 25 leadpipe installed.  Charlie relacquered the new pipe and also installed a wrap around 1st slide saddle.  

The valve compression and valve action is very good.  This Bach was made in the first couple of years at Elkhart when the serial numbers were still stamped on the valve piston spring barrels.  The serial numbers match.  The original lacquer on this trumpet is very good, showing only minimal scratches and wear.  

This trumpet comes with the original Bach case in very good condition.  The Bach emblem is missing, but we will  include a replica replacement emblem.  The handle is also showing some wear, but likely has years of service left.  We will include a replacement handle for future use.

Without a doubt, this is one of the best looking and best playing early Elkhart Bachs that we've had come through our shop.
