As with most student saxes the tone is on the light and bright side - there has to be a reason to buy the more expensive models. Along with many Yamaha endorsees, I find the silver plating does add some extra "star quality. Phill Straker - SAXBought in 2021 as a back-up sax for gigs. Played occasionally. Recently serviced inc new neck cork. With neck strap and originak Yamaha 4C mouthpiece. Absolutely cracking intermediate sax or back-up sax. Some scratches on underside of mouthpiece from use. Case in excellent condition.
