I am selling this vintage 10-string Chapman Stick, made in 1989.Serial number: #2711Original configuration:10 stringsBlack polycarbonate constructionOriginal passive Stickup pickup, developed by Emmett ChapmanClassic tuningLight gauge stringsI contacted Stick Enterprises to confirm the instrument's specifications and production information. They confirmed that Stick #2711 is a black polycarbonate 10-string Stick made in 1989, with Classic tuning, light gauge strings and the passive Stickup.The instrument is in very good condition considering its age. The touchboard and frets are particularly clean and well preserved.There are some signs of age and oxidation on a few of the metal parts, particularly the tuning hardware, as can be seen in the photos. Overall, however, the instrument presents very well for a vintage Stick of this period.This is one of the early polycarbonate Chapman Sticks, from a period of particular interest in the history of the instrument.Local pickup / testing is possible by appointment.Shipping available.
