Based on the Trident A-Range console preamp — the desk behind records by Bowie, Queen, Elton John, and T. Rex among others. Germanium components and a transformer in the signal path. When pushed, it saturates the way mixing console preamps do: dense, harmonically complex, not quite like any pedal circuit.The discrete op-amp front end is based on a vintage UREI design. A treble filter on the back end controls brightness. Volume runs clean boost when you're not pushing it.
