Here for sale we have a Taylor 214ce DLX electro-acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Mexico in 2014, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Rosewood back & sides, Tropical Mahogany neck & 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in Ivoroid, whilst the top features multi-stripe purfling, Mother of Pearl rosette & a Tortoiseshell pickguard. The headstock is overlaid with Ebony to match the fingerboard & bridge. A set of Taylor sealed tuning machines in Chrome finish are fitted, as well as Taylor's Expression System 2 undersaddle piezo pickup & preamp. These are wired to shoulder-mounted controls for volume, bass & treble. 

The Tropical Mahogany neck plays fabulously, with Taylor's ever-popular neck profile sitting comfortably in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The profile might be described as a rather slim 'C' shape which encourages ergonomic thumb positioning and easy reach across the fretboard. The smooth finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25.5" scale, whilst the venetian cutaway enhances access to the upper frets. The Ebony of the fingerboard is supremely luxurious to the touch, and with its 15" radius ensures practicality for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. 

The acoustic voice of the Taylor 214ce is bright and clear, with an unpronounced yet accurate low end, strong mid response and sparkling trebles which add a shimmer and chime to every note played on the instrument. The Grand Auditorium body design delivers the best of both large and compact bodies; sizable enough to produce a powerful and clear voice whilst remaining small enough to be comfortable in the arms. The Sitka Spruce top projects beautifully and offers a wide dynamic range, whilst producing a warmer & more refined tone than a typical un-aged Spruce top. Taylor's Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, providing the versatility required for both live and recording situations.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition, the top rear corners of the headstock demonstrate light scuffing and indentation that do not pierce the finish.

Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.

Body: Overall excellent condition, some light indentation piercing the finish slightly can be identified to the rear face lower bout.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.

Hardware: Excellent condition.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.75mm - Bass 2.25mm
