I am selling my Selmer Ref 54 Alto Saxophone and this wonderful piece of equipment was one of my mouthpieces.
This MP is a rarely used Jody Jazz DV New York Alto Mouthpieces(6). This MP is an excellent Metal Mouthpiece for a lovely smooth sound. The description for the item was as follows :
Jody Jazz DV NY Alto mouthpiece 6, tip opening: .078, the DV NY produces a darker, less bright tone than the more contemporary sound of the DV. The deep baffle/chamber design of the DV NY produces a beautiful Classic Jazz Tenor sound reminiscent of the masters of the 50’s and 60’s. While having slightly more resistance than the DV, the DV NY is considered a very free blowing saxophone mouthpiece, the mouthpiece comes with Ligature and Cap, and Deluxe Mouthpiece Pouch
