The Moog MF-102 Moogerfooger (introduced in 1998) is an all-analog, professional-grade audio processor designed under the personal direction of Bob Moog. It functions simultaneously as three modular units in a floor- or tabletop-friendly chassis: a Ring Modulator, a voltage-controlled Carrier Oscillator, and a voltage-controlled dual-waveform Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO).

 Core Functional Modules & Controls

Ring Modulator Circuit: Multiplies the audio input signal by a carrier frequency, outputting the sum and difference frequencies while suppressing the original input and carrier signals.

Carrier Oscillator:

A wide-range, voltage-controlled oscillator generating a sine-like waveform.

Frequency Range: Spans a 6-octave range governed by a LO/HI rocker switch:

LO Range: 2 Hz to 130 Hz

HI Range: 60 Hz to 4,000 Hz

Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO):

Used to frequency-modulate the carrier oscillator.

Rate Range: 0.1 Hz to 25 Hz (one cycle every 10 seconds up to 25 times per second).

Waveforms: Selectable via a Square/Sine rocker switch.

Front Panel Rotary Controls:

DRIVE: Adjusts the input signal gain and sets overall headroom.

MIX: Continuously crossfades from completely dry (unmodulated) to completely wet (modulated) audio.

FREQUENCY: Manually sets the base frequency of the carrier oscillator.

RATE: Controls the speed of the LFO.

LFO AMOUNT: Adjusts the depth/intensity of how much the LFO sweeps the carrier oscillator.

 Connectivity & I/O Specifications

Audio In: 1/4" phone jack; accepts instrument-level to line-level signals (from -16 dBm to +4 dBm).

Audio Out: 1/4" phone jack; -4 dBm nominal output level.

Aux Audio In: 1/4" jack; allows an external audio signal to replace the internal carrier oscillator.

Carrier Out: 1/4" jack; outputs the carrier signal to drive other external modular gear.

LFO Out: 1/4" jack; delivers the LFO CV (Control Voltage) waveform for patching into other devices.

Expression Pedal / CV Inputs: Four dedicated stereo 1/4" jacks for FREQUENCY, RATE, LFO AMOUNT, and MIX. Compatible with Moog EP-1 / EP-3 expression pedals or external Control Voltage (CV) sources (two- or three-circuit plugs).

 Hardware & Power Specifications

LED Indicators:

LEVEL: 3-color LED for optimizing the DRIVE gain staging.

LFO: Visual indicator flashing in sync with the LFO rate.

BYPASS: 2-color LED indicating whether the effect is active (Green) or bypassed (Red).

Footswitch: Rugged, smooth-acting true/buffered-style hardware stomp switch for ON/BYPASS toggling.

Enclosure: Classic analog aesthetic featuring a black-painted heavy-duty metal panel with solid hardwood side cheeks.

Dimensions: 9.0" x 6.0" x 2.5" (22.9 x 15.3 x 6.4 cm).

Weight: Approximately 2.0 lbs (0.91 kg).

Power Requirements: Powered by an external AC adapter (+9V DC power input, center-negative standard tip, typically drawing around ~6–7W) INCLUDED IN THE LISTING

There are three cosmetic defects: a mark on the left and right wooden sides and a paint scrub under the lfo. See the pictures for further details.
