The REL T/5x is a compact active subwoofer built for stereo music systems and home theatre alike. It centres on a downward-firing 8-inch FibreAlloy long-throw driver powered by a 125-watt Class A/B amplifier, housed in a closed-box cabinet with internal bracing to keep resonance in check. Frequency response extends to 32 Hz (–6 dB), covering the low-end demands of most music and film content in small to medium rooms. Connection options are unusually flexible: a Neutrik Speakon high-level input lets it share the same signal path and damping factor as your main amplifier, while separate RCA low-level and LFE inputs serve source-direct and home-theatre setups respectively, each with its own gain control. The five-layer Piano Black lacquer finish gives it a polished, furniture-friendly appearance, and the unit is also compatible with REL's optional Arrow Wireless System for cable-free placement.
