Rare Ovation USA MM68 Mandolin in gloss black.
I bought this from the states 11 years ago and haven’t used it too much (I‘m really a guitar player)
It does have signs of the usual ovation very slight top settling over the bracing but is so slight I can’t capture it in photographs .. and gloss black usually shows all imperfections !
No cracks and the bridge remains flat on the mandolin’s top .. no lift or bulging despite always being kept at concert pitch.
Very slight signs of fret wear otherwise this mandolin is near mint ! .. no chips or dings.
The OP-24 preamp and pickup work faultlessly, the only true plug in, play and sound great option for a mandolin in my opinion.
Action at 12th is about 1.5mm and there’s still 2 shims under the saddle if you want to go lower.
Complete with original case and owners manual etc
I’m told these very rarely come up for sale and are not to be confused with the lesser Far Eastern made instruments.

Not much used pricing info (although I think they were over $2000 new at one point) so sensible offers welcome !
