Neve 1272 Dual Mic Preamps. In Custom-built Chassis by Raw State 1272 vintage - Grey

I bought these mic preamps about five years ago. I bought them to archive a cassette collection of interviews that needed some headroom before archiving them digitally, which took me about a month to do. Ever since then they have hardly been used and are in excellent condition, both visually and operationally. See below for the specification. All working well and sounding wonderful. The Classic Class A Neve 1272 modules

Fully refurbished by Raw State.

All electrolytic and tantalum capacitors replaced.

High quality BC / Vishay caps etc. usedEdge cons cleaned and lubed.

Switches are from Blore Edwards, Isostat and ElmaGain Trim control from Spheric.

Filter caps are Vishay poly types

Each mic preamp features:

Switched gain range of 30 – 65 dB30dB Input Pad.

If main gain is switched to 30 dB, and the Pad is engaged, the mic amp now runs at line level / unity.

Ideal for using as the analogue front end to your digital recording system.Gain ‘Trim’, of +- 5 dB range. With a centre detent at 0 dB. Allows ease of setting level if using mic amp direct to your recording medium

Switched ‘High pass’ filters. A passive filter with three frequency settingsPhase reverse switch.Input impedance set at 1,200 ohms.

Individual Phantom power switching.

The Twin Lunch box Chassis

Built from aluminium panels.

The chassis rails, module guides etc are all ex Neve.

Each 1272 module slots into the Lunch Box on guide rails into the mating edge connector, allowing ease of maintenance etc.

The external power supply

Custom wound low field toroid transformer. Separate ‘Raw Funk’ linear regulated powersupply cards supply the +24 Audio and +48 Phantom feeds.

240 volts mains setting.
