Selling my API 512v 500 Series mic preamp, purchased brand new in March.
It has only been used for one recording session, so it’s in excellent, as-new condition. I originally bought it for a specific project, but as I mainly record vocals, I don’t get enough use from it and would rather put the money towards other studio equipment.
The API 512v is a fantastic preamp, well known for its punch, clarity and musical character. It’s particularly well suited to recording guitars, bass and drums, while also delivering the classic API sound on a wide range of sources.
