The SDS7 was Simmons' flagship electronic drum system, produced in the early-to-mid 1980s and used by some of the biggest drummers and producers of the decade. The distinctive hexagonal rubber pads and punchy analogue sound made them a studio and live staple think Phil Collins, Ultravox, Tears for Fears and countless others.
