Marshall JMP 50 Lead and Bass Head.

This is a very rare amp due to this model only being available between 1973 to 1976.

Its the Lead and Bass version of this range of amps, these amps have slipped under the radar than other Marshall amps are becoming highly sought after. I have no idea what value it’s likely to accrue in the future as a collector’s piece, but this is a great sounding vintage classic Marshall  amplifier, and at the moment, is a great investment at a realistic price.

This vintage Marshall amplifier has 2 channels, a ‘lead’ channel which gives shimmering lead tones to screaming leads similar to the ‘Model 1987’, and a ‘bass’ channel with it deep, punchy bass notes similar to the ‘Model 1986’. It also has a ‘Presence’ control to add that extra sparkle to your sound.

It has four inputs and the channels are bridgable, resulting in Marshall's famous saturated plexi sound when turned up. Just simply Marshall heaven.

This is a real rare gem so don't miss the opportunity to own this iconic amplifier. It works perfectly and sounds amazing.

It has the original Bulgin type mains connector (and cable) There are two holes with rubber bungs on one side of the back panel which don't do anything and aren’t connected to anything on the inside and I have no idea why they are there.

Cosmetically this head is in great condition. There are a few nicks in the tolex but its free of tears and there are no extensive sections of wear, have a look at the photos. The piping is unbroken and the small logo is correct and in good condition.

The metal front is in great condition but someone has scratched the word 'PRE' above the lead channel volume knob. It's very lightly etched and could possibly be touched-up by someone clever.

There doesn’t seem to be any changes and all the circuitry, as far as I can tell, looks to be all original to the amp. The transformers are all correct and original. This is a great sounding head, with plenty of those classic Marshall tones on tap.

This is a real rare gem so don't miss the opportunity to own this iconic amplifier.  It’s a great looking and great sounding vintage amplifier, and is a great investment at a realistic price.

Please have a good look at the photos and remember to ask all questions. I'd prefer collection, but I am happy to work with a courier, but the buyer must be aware that this could be expensive as this is a heavy piece of kit.
