About This Model

The Rocktron MIDI Mate is an intelligent MIDI foot controller designed to manage external MIDI equipment from the floor. It can send up to six preset changes across six different MIDI channels and five control changes simultaneously, making it well suited to complex live rigs. Three operating modes — Bank, Instant, and Controller — give performers flexible ways to navigate presets: Bank Mode steps through 128 presets in groups of ten, Instant Mode lets you jump to any preset from 01–99 with two foot taps without scrolling through banks, and Controller Mode splits the button layout so the top row handles on/off assignments while the bottom row accesses presets. A large seven-character LED display shows song titles and preset status at a glance, and EEPROM storage ensures presets are retained without a battery. A 7-pin MIDI connector supports phantom power, removing the need for a separate power adapter, while a 1/4" input accommodates an expression pedal for real-time parameter control.
