This JVC KD-V220 is a poor-condition item. Our 10-point functional test was completed in full: all checks passed except transport works. Note: Transport issue: rewind and fast-forward functions are intermittent. The input level selector is also non-functional. About This Model

The JVC KD-V220 is a 2-head single compact cassette deck featuring full-logic transport control and JVC's Metaperm record/playback head paired with a 2-gap ferrite erase head. Two DC motors — one for the capstan, one for the reels — drive the transport, with a wow and flutter spec of 0.08%. The deck supports normal, chrome, and metal tape formulations, with frequency response reaching 40 Hz–15 kHz on metal and chrome. Dolby B and C noise reduction are on board, with Dolby C bringing the signal-to-noise ratio up to 73 dB. Other features include a 2-colour fluorescent peak meter, Music Scan, Computer Shift Control touch keys, timer start, and an automatic input select function. Line and microphone inputs are provided alongside line and headphone outputs.
