Vintage Mid-70s Marshall angled 4x12 Cabinet (Model 1935/1960) – Loaded with Rare 1970s Celestion G12M 55Hz "Blackbacks" 

Up for sale is an incredibly resonant, genuine mid-1970s Marshall 4x12 cabinet. This is an absolute tone machine with tons of real road character, perfect for the gigging player or studio tracking that authentic, woody British classic rock grunt.

I purchased this cabinet second-hand in the late 1990s, it only ever had studio use and that has been intermittent since 2005. So gigged only once since then and hardly used.

The Cabinet Details:

 Era: Circa 1974–1976. Features the iconic period-correct flathead/slot-head screws on the back panel, the original small round plastic input dish, and original mid-70s plastic side handles.

 The Look: It features a highly desirable "Basketweave" (Salt & Pepper) grille cloth style front baffle, giving it that killer late-60s aesthetic. The classic plastic front script logo has a clean break right after the "s", leaving it proudly spelling "Mars"—a classic bit of rock 'n' roll character.

The Speakers (The Real Magic):

Inside is a fantastic set of authentic, vintage Rola Celestion G12M "Blackback" speakers (25 watts, 16 ohms). Crucially, these are the highly sought-after 55Hz bass resonance models.  

 Originally designed for Marshall’s bass cabs of the era, rock guitarists quickly figured out that the 55Hz cones deliver a significantly warmer, thicker, and less harsh midrange profile compared to the standard 75Hz version.

Condition:

Player's Grade / Good. The cabinet shows beautiful, authentic cosmetic wear on the Tolex from years of use, but it is structurally rock solid. Sounds absolutely massive and functions perfectly.
