The Quasimidi Raven, released in 1996, is a German-made digital synthesizer built around the M.A.S.S. (Multi-Architecture Sound System) sample-based engine with subtractive filtering and 6 MB of onboard sample memory. Its 61-key synth-action keyboard includes aftertouch, and the synth delivers up to 24 voices of polyphony across 16-part multitimbrality — making it a capable centrepiece for layered, multi-part arrangements. A library of 512 patches covers both tonal and percussive territory, supplemented by 100 user presets and performance memories. An onboard 8-track sequencer, arpeggiator, dual effects processors (reverb/delay and modulation), and real-time control knobs give the Raven a hands-on, production-ready workflow squarely aimed at dance and electronic music. MIDI In, Out, and Thru plus stereo audio outputs cover standard studio integration, and the sound set found favour with artists including BT, Jean-Michel Jarre, The Prodigy, and The Chemical Brothers.
A great opportunity to own a Quasimidi The Raven at this price point.
